Last Man Standing

Happy New Year everyone, here is the last AMV for the year. This AMV features the message of never quitting, so let's make 2012 a productive and successful year and be the last man standing. Although the part about selling your soul ( in the lyrics) to be the last man standing doesn't seem like the logical answer, instead try to become closer with the people around you, and help out where possible, Make karma your bitch... not a bitch!

Anime: The Legend of the Legendary Heroes (Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu)
Song: Last man standing
Artist: Hammerfall

Chick Chicky Boom!

Another amazing video by Ileia. This AMV is called Chick Chicky Boom, and is a fast paced hilarious AMV. She did the transitions really well, the mood of this AMV is right on, an excellent edit with the action on screen going perfectly with the music.

Song: Jim Carrey - Cuban Pete
Anime: Golden Boy
Editor: Ileia

About the Anime: Kintarou Oe (the main character) doesn't look like it, but he is a genius who completed all his university courses and then quit before graduating. He becomes a wandering student, going from place to place on his bicycle, seeking to learn what he can about life, the world, and women. He is willing and able to do any job he has to prove himself. His travels take him to a variety of locations and a variety of women, each who learns to love the hardworking guy, but not before he can run off.

Girls Girls Girls

Girls girls girls, this AMV is full of girls. It is a chick song and the video is edited by a girl and she did a great job. The video has some pretty cool scenes in it, not a fan of mecha for some reason but again this is a well done AMV.

Song: NDS vs Tom E - 2gether 4ever (Clubraiders Remix)
Anime: Macross Frontier
Editor: Ileia

Here is another video by Ileia made from the anime Arjuna. Have Arjuna on a to-watch list but haven't got around to it yet. The story to Arjuna goes as so, a girl named Juna was just an ordinary high- school girl, right up until the day she died in a motorcycle accident. But there, in the twilight of death, saw the future of the barren earth destroyed by the Raaja, and was offered a second chance at life if she would stop them. Now she must learn to cast aside her thoughtlessly destructive ways and face her destiny as the Avatar of Time, the one being who can decide the fate of the planet.

Song: Lisa Miskovsky - Still Alive (Paul Van Dyk Mix)

Safety Dance AMV

Everybody knows the Safety Dance song, but most people have no idea what anime is used in this AMV. The anime seems to be a popular anime amongst fellow otaku though.

Song:Safety Dance - Men Without Hats

Watch on Youtube

About The AnimeStory: So the story is this... nothing. Just absolutely nothing except that it's about the life of Yukko, Mai and Mio at school and everyone around them. At first you see also Nano-chan and the mini professor, but later on they are also part of the story of the three main characters. Other than that... everything is just shorts of complete and udder randomness and chaos, full of hilarity that you'll roll on the floor laughing. Sometimes even laughing your ass off.

There is also the helvitica standard shorts, which are just complete random shorts that sometimes don't make any sense, but sometimes do. They do leave you laughing and with a WTF? face.

Fate Matrix

This AMV is called Fate Matrix and is an MEP(multi-editor project) made by Shin & GuntherAMVs. Enjoyed this AMV so much that it needed to be shared. It is a pretty cool AMV with a girl controlling the fate of others from her computer.

No Handlebars AMV

The amount of different anime in this AMV is staggering. Can't even imagine how long it took to gather all the clips for this AMV.

A quote from the author "The reason why I wanted to make this AMV is because I fell in love with the song" that sounds like as good a reason as any.

Song : Flobots - Handlebars
Anime : Yumekui Merry, Code Geass, Elfen Lied, Pandora Hearts, Naruto, Clannad, Air, Higurashi no naku koro ni, Ergo Proxy, K-ON!, Soul Eater, Karas, Panty and Stocking with Garterbeld, Lucky Star, Ef a tale of memories, FLCL, The World God Only Knows, Death Note, Steamboy, Chobits, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, GOSICK, Chaos Head, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Togainu no Chi, Hellsing, Otome Yokai Zakuro, Black Rock Shooter, Kuroshitsuji, Jigoku Shoujo.

The creator of the AMV explains his creation  "to make my meaning clear (I suck at explaining things, sorry please bear with it) :

AMV Insanity

This AMV was really good, filled with intense scenes and the music was just the right tempo, not to fast but definitely not slow. Right away I had recognized the characters from wallpapers based off the manga. The anime adoption looks real good based off this AMV. If in your in to the horror genre then this is the series for you and it is called Deadman Wonderland

Electro Penguin

Have never heard of this anime or band (no surprise) and most likely wouldn't actually watch the anime, but this video is awesome! The song is right up my alley and Chiikaboom did a great job of putting it together.

Anime: Mawaru Penguindrum
Song: "Radiator" Family Force 5
Editor: Chiikaboom

For those interested this anime is not about "Crime Fighting Penguins" it's a comedy love story!

Naruto Shippuden Pain Battle

Have been following Naruto as a fan for quite a while. It started with the anime but being a big fan of Berserk was missing the manga experience cause it's releases are to far apart, so went back to the very beginning Naruto in the manga. The series is just amazing in print form as it is in video, so much so that I hardly watch the anime. When I do watch it, it is out of the curiosity of seeing the differences or watching a battle. The series is just simply amazing, and here is a fight scene with Naruto and Pain. It is a really sweet music video and probably the only for Naruto that I've like so far.

The world of Naruto is probably the most interesting aspect of the show. Despite being a show about ninja, the soldiers in this manga are really ninja in name only. They're actually much more reminiscent of modern soldiers with flashy ninja magic than mysterious, stealthy ninja.

There characters are a rather nice aspect of the show. Many of them are archetypes,…

Berserk MMV - Fix You

Just heard that there is a live action Berserk film coming by January 2012, and though that a Berserk MMV or AMV is in order. Got an old blog post Berserk MMV Called The Beast Within Berserk is rated by many to be the all time best manga ever, and would agree. It has been in a slow but steady production since December 1, 1990, and am always ecstatic to see a new issue of the amazingly epic manga. So one could only imagine how we reacted to here that a live action film is coming, to put it plainly, jumped up and cheered. Then though, they better not mess this up! The film we be broken into a series, and will cover the whole manga (or so they say).

   Song: Fix You
   Manga: Berserk

   Artist: AFI
   Song: Home is Nowhere
   Manga: Berserk

Naughty Song ^_^

Ok so there has been a big gap since the last post so this one is well worth it. Started watching this AMV and about fell out the chair, some friends that were over said that they'd be singing that song at work all week.

The Darkest of Places

About the Anime
Simply put, half the show is about the romantic relationship between the Senjougahara and Araragi.
The other half is about a constant argument between two values: The rational vs the idealistic, with Araragi as Mr. Nice Guy seeking happy end for everyone. Solution of supernatural abnormalities as the topic of the argument.

Hachikuji, Kanbaru, and Hanekawa's arcs develop the relationship of leading couple while offering a new topic to the story. Each arc is an incident focused on a different girl, but the all arcs combine to show a whole picture of Araragi and Senjougahara closing their personal distances.

Paranoia Drift

This AMV isn't related to the anime movie The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (Toki wo Kakeru Shojo), but the creator used the scenes so well to portray feeling they were going for. An excellent AMV with psychedelic visuals, character profiling, seriousness, and horror.

About the Anime
If you suddenly gained the ability to quite literally leap through time, what would you use it for? The sheer fun of it? Getting better grades? Or something else? What if you merely wanted the present to continue; to still live out those memorable days with your friends, playing around and having fun; rejecting the future and not wanting things to change? In Toki wo Kakeru Shojo, a girl is presented with this exact possibility. She suddenly finds out that she has been granted the ability to travel through time, and uses this ability for the purposes mentioned above. At first she tries to correctall the mistakes she made that same day she got the ability; from preventing making a mess out of things in …

Anime/Manga Video

This is an amazing instrumental Anime/Manga Music Video, the music and video have been synced, sort of like a music visualizer (really sweet) and the visuals are simple amazing. This AMV made me very interested in what the series is about, with all the different magical creatures and what not. The creator of the video did a great job of selecting scenes from the Manga and the Anime, bringing together a really awesome experience. Still a fan of manga so MMVs always grab my attention.

Music Video Made in Blender

On the BlenderNation website there was a post from a long time Blender user titled
"27 inspirational and jaw dropping Blender creations", by the community of course. After watching them, definitely recommended checking them all out, the longest one was under 10 minutes.

Well 1 of those 27 videos is a music video, it was a good one to. It definitely inspires one to create a music video with Blender. Any who the title for the video is  Kopek-Stop and the artists web page is @ Online Portfolio of Eoin Duffy

Don't forget Blender is Open Source Software that is free, there are hundreds of different learning resources that are also free and most of them are great quality. BlenderGuru is one example of great free tutorials. Andrew provides the a base file to start with, and the one he finished, plus other things like the textures are available, and when you open the .blend file it has all the textures and everything down to the layout of the program windows and butto…

Music Visualizer AMV

Really like this post's AMV, and am inspired to recreate it with with my favourite aspects from visualisers like milkdrop with Blender, GIMP and OpenShot. That would be crazy and probably look really awesome, but wouldn't look like what imr3ssiv has created which is really "impressive" to say the least.

This AMV was created by: impr3ssiv [Untamed Illusions Studio] Music by: Nalepa - Monday (Glitch Mob Remix) Multi-Anime: Evangelion 1.11, Evangelion 2.22, Ghost in the Shell 2.0, Innocence: Ghost in the Shell, The Animatrix, Appleseed Ex Machina, Macross Zero, Ergo Proxy, Vexille, Pale Cocoon, Code Geass, Freedom

1st Creation!

With a little help from various tutorials online have finally slapped together an AMV. It's not much, more like a sample of what's to come. Just been playing around with OpenShot and Blender to get comfortable and prepare for a more thoroughly planned out AMV. It's not even a full song, but it was a first go (hello world). The music isn't synced just slapped it over the video for sound.

Note: the 3d animated text near the end of the video was me using blender not the animated titles provided by OpenShot (that are actually using blender through python scripts and allot better). Click the video to goto youtube and watch in HD

Again OpenShot is a super simple video editor that does some amazing things, Blender on the other hand is a whole other story. Looking at Blender for the 1st time can be scary, but with a little patience ones imagination can be brought to fruition. Can't wait to keep

New Year!

Hello everyone, it's gonna a be a good New Year, and am looking forward to it. Have been busy with many projects. Am glad to be a member of  the OpenShot Video Editor. The project could always use contributors such as translators.

Another project underway is the development of my video game, yet to be named. It is a simple game that has arcade style gameplay made with the help of Unity 3d game engine.

Haven't posted a good AMV in along time so am glad to have found a good one based off of Naruto Shippuden. Just about every AMV for Naruto that I've seen was completely lame, scenes chopped up in windows movie maker and laced with Linkin Park. Every one shoould do them selves a favor and check out the power of Free Software (open source).
