Renory - Electronic

    A fast electronic beat to go with some nice digital futuristic scenes. The scenes are bright and colorful with lots of moving parts, constantly transitioning with only a couple slowed down parts. Almost plays like a visualizer but not quite there.

    This anime music video hits the spot! It's fast, electronic, has good visuals, with a great tune. It's music kinda electric or dubstep like, and the text overlays on the AMV where pretty cool.

Addiction

    This is this DigiCat's second anime music video and first in the romance genre for AMVs.  The song and anime go well together, and the editor did a good job with immersion into a story through the video and music, and with the all the effects it comes out to be quite a moving video.

Neuromancer

    During the 1st 15 seconds of this AMV was thinking, "on no, this song sucks, this video is lame". Just seconds later, started to notice the amount of detail that went into the video editing,  the transitions and blending are superb. The song added to the "oh no" thought but actually ended up enjoying it after the lyrics started.

Illusion of Life

    In few words this Anime Music Video can be described as: Illusion of life. Love is nothing but a fleeting illusion. A rose-colored campus life, is, after all, nothing more than an illusory dream.

    This AMV, rocks, it's fast, it's funny, and any poor soul who sees it will probably be humming the song for the next couple weeks. The AMV has quite a bit of otaku fan fare in it, couldn't help but laugh at a couple parts.

Disco Heaven

    A nice fast paced dance AMV. The reference to the strawberry cake at the beginning and end is from the first-person shooter/puzzle game Portal.

    1st post of the year is an AMV by Ileia. This AMV is fast paced and pretty funny, Ileia did a great job at putting together this video. The song and dance scenes go well together, and am amazed at how smoothly the scenes transitions given the speed and tempo of the song.

    Girls girls girls, this AMV is full of girls. It is a chick song and the video is edited by a girl and she did a great job. The video has some pretty cool scenes in it, not a fan of mecha for some reason but again this is a well done AMV.

    Here is another video by Ileia made from the anime Arjuna. Have Arjuna on a to-watch list but haven't got around to it yet. The story to Arjuna goes as so, a girl named Juna was just an ordinary high- school girl, right up until the day she died in a motorcycle accident. But there, in the twilight of death, saw the future of the barren earth destroyed by the Raaja, and was offered a second chance at life if she would stop them. Now she must learn to cast aside her thoughtlessly destructive ways and face her destiny as the Avatar of Time, the one being who can decide the fate of the planet.

About The Anime

     Story: So the story is this... nothing. Just absolutely nothing except that it's about the life of Yukko, Mai and Mio at school and everyone around them. At first you see also Nano-chan and the mini professor, but later on they are also part of the story of the three main characters. Other than that... everything is just shorts of complete and udder randomness and chaos, full of hilarity that you'll roll on the floor laughing. Sometimes even laughing your ass off.

    There is also the helvitica standard shorts, which are just complete random shorts that sometimes don't make any sense, but sometimes do. They do leave you laughing and with a WTF? face.

Naughty Song ^_^

   Ok so there has been a big gap since the last post so this one is well worth it. Started watching this AMV and about fell out the chair, some friends that were over said that they'd be singing that song at work all week.

The Darkest of Places

About the Anime
Simply put, half the show is about the romantic relationship between the Senjougahara and Araragi.
The other half is about a constant argument between two values: The rational vs the idealistic, with Araragi as Mr. Nice Guy seeking happy end for everyone. Solution of supernatural abnormalities as the topic of the argument.

Hachikuji, Kanbaru, and Hanekawa's arcs develop the relationship of leading couple while offering a new topic to the story. Each arc is an incident focused on a different girl, but the all arcs combine to show a whole picture of Araragi and Senjougahara closing their personal distances.

"Bakemonogatari" is essentially a verbal performance with visual support. Story is driven by back and forth debate on various issues.

    Others have asked about the anime, Legend of Black Heaven. This anime is about a man who was in a rock band in his younger days, but they broke up as the members grew up and got married. Years later, in a dead end job and dull marriage, he's approached by aliens who want him to play his music to save them...

    Similar to the way music was influential in Macross, alien research has shown that the music of the disbanded rock band "Black Heaven" is able to power their ultimate weapon and turn the tables on what is inferred as a losing war.

Real world references

• The name Black Heaven is a reference to seventies metal band Black Sabbath.
• Oji plays a Gibson Flying V, similar to one played by Michael Schenker, whom he idolizes.
• Like most famous bands, the songs are written primarily by two band members: Oji and Watanabe.
• Layla is probably a homage to Eric Clapton's Layla.
• Hamill is possibly a homage to Mark Hamill, or British singer-songwriter Claire Hamill.
• Mulder and Scully are seen investigating a disappearance, only to be brushed aside by Layla's stooges.
• The band's ship is named Zappa, in reference to Frank Zappa.
• Oji's guitar is a Flying V (Flying Vee), and Gen's favorite show is called the Flying V (Flying Five). The band's ship Zappa also transforms into a giant Flying V.
• Oji's pick is a Japanese 10 yen coin, a homage to Brian May who used an old sixpence as a pick on Queen albums.
• All five stage names of Black Heaven - Gabriel, Luke, Michael, Raphael, and Joseph - derive from important figures of Christianity.
• The episode titles are taken from famous rock songs.
• The lobster house where Joseph Watanabe was eventually killed was named "Dio Lobster", in homage to the band Dio.
• In Episode 9, Oji summons a U.F.O. by chanting "Ventura", in reference to Urusei Yatsura.
• Oji's wife's name is Yoko, probably a reference to Yoko Ono.
