    Not much to say here. Fast, action packed anime music video with a good metal song. The anime looks pretty interesting, after reading a couple reviews some people where calling it the Japanese X-Men.

My Town

    The art style of this anime is so strange yet still stylish and really well done. This AMV does a pretty good job of showing off this somewhat surreal anime.

Cast No Shadow

    This anime music video took over 2 years for the editor to make, and it definitely shows from the scene selection to  the of image quality and asthetics. The editor used 48 different anime to make this AMV but that did not detract from the quality of the video it's not chaotic mess it actually blends nicely.

Digital Hell

    This anime music video uses the game Portal by Valve for a theme, the song is a pretty good mix of the boss character in the game. Can tell a allot of work went into the planning of this video and the results are pretty good.

Kuzo to the Sky

    This AMV has some good visuals to the point of looking like a visualizer and the song is pretty good as well, fast and electronic. An interesting part of this anime music video is the first word in the title "Kuzo", which there was no English translation from Japanese, and may not even be a Japanese word. After looking it up this is what was found;

AEVIUM - Dubstep

    This Anime Music Video is an awesome electronic instrumental with an intriguing looking anime, with it's dark blend of magic and supernatural elements in modern day settings, it sure to become the next series to watch on many peoples anime list.

Illusion of Life

    In few words this Anime Music Video can be described as: Illusion of life. Love is nothing but a fleeting illusion. A rose-colored campus life, is, after all, nothing more than an illusory dream.

    A slow paced song with tons of great scenes. Am constantly amazed to keep finding such great anime music videos such as this one. While this song is slow paced the video keeps a nice steady pace with the transitions and goes from scene to scene in a way that makes this AMV a story in it's self.

Ergo Proxy - Slave of Chaos

    Real Mayer is the main character, and is in charge of investigating a series of brutal murders apparently committed by AutoReivs infected with the Cogito virus.

    In an interview,^[.pdf] Dai Satō (writer) describes the project:

"It is set in the future. A group of robots become infected with something called the Kojiro [sic] virus, and become aware of their own existence. So these robots, which had been tools of humans, decide to go on an adventure to search for themselves. They have to decide whether the virus that infected them created their identity, or whether they gained their identity through their travels. This question is meant to represent our own debate over whether we become who we are because of our environment, or because of things that are inherent in us. The robots are all named after philosophers: Derrida and Lacan and Husserl."

Anime: Ergo Proxy - Click to Watch the Series

After watching Ergo Proxy I must say that this is one of the most enjoyable series I've watched yet. The story is so complex and can at times be very agonizing because you are just so clueless as to whats going on. Then usually by the end of the episode or by the next episode all of your questions like, "What the hell is going on!?" will be answered. Why did I enjoy this series so much?

    First, this series is a real psychological mind boggling experience. I don't see too many series that make me question things about whats going on until the very end, yet Ergo Proxy did it. Even during the last episode, I was asking myself the same question as I had been throughout the entire series, "What the hell is going on!?" This kind of experience kept me wanting more and left me trying to fill holes myself, which is exactly the kind of thing that I enjoy. Something that makes me think for myself and makes me WANT to figure out whats going on or say, "Hmm, I wonder what that meant.."

    The setting of the story is another thing that made me enjoy this so much, a post apocalyptic world where everyone is being kept in the dark and left wondering whats just beyond their grasp. Theres not much that I can say about this plus for me, it's just something that I enjoy. If you enjoy stories set in this kind of environment, you'll like this aspect of Ergo Proxy.

    Ergo Proxy makes use to a lot of different aspects of psychology and history, which is a good thing. I believe it was only the first fourteen episodes, but at the end of each respective episode there would be about two minutes when they would reflect back on things throughout what you had just seen. It was a very nice touch that I felt was something more series should do. It basically would tell you things that the author of the series/story used as a reference or what something that occurred in the episode was based on. I thoroughly enjoy history and psychology so this aspect of Ergo Proxy really appealed to me.

    The character development didn't fall short of my expectations either. It was done quite nicely. I wish I could go into further detail about it, but apparently I'm not supposed to say anything to spoil the series and I'm not quite sure how to go about this aspect without doing just that.

    The animation was extremely well done. The way some of the faces are drawn may look a little odd at first, but I didn't mind it at all. It matches the show quite well and really compliments everything around it. Everything that was done in this series, animation wise, was completely believable. Sure, there are somethings that you just know can't be true/made from something real, but it just feels true/real with everything else about the series combined.

About Arjuna

The story opens with Juna telling her boyfriend Tokio she feels too cramped in the city, and deciding to take a trip to the Sea of Japan. On the drive, they get in an accident and Juna dies. As the spirit leaves her body, Juna sees the dying Earth. The planet's suffering is visualized by worm-like creatures, the Raaja. The Raaja vary in size, from microscopic bacteria to those entwining the planet. A young boy named Chris appears before Juna and offers to save her life if she will help the planet. She agrees and is resurrected.

As is clear from the title, Arjuna, the series is highly influenced by Hinduism, as well as Indian culture in general. The story was inspired by the Bhagavad Gita, most notably in the character of Chris, who is modeled after Krishna.

The setting for the show, Kobe, was chosen by creator Shoji Kawamori for his personal fondness of it, and the city itself plays a prominent role, with famous buildings such as the Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel and nearby Ferris wheel showing up as common backdrops. The idea of living in a city is a main theme, with both Juna and the Raaja rebelling against how removed from nature modern life is.

An idea which Kawamori emphasized was natural farming. Not to be confused with the mere absence of chemicals that is often meant by "organic farming", natural farming involves letting nature grow as it will, not removing weeds or bugs, or using any fertilizer. The old man Juna encounters in episode four explains the need for this return to nature in order to sustain life in the long term, a sentiment directly from Kawamori himself

The show contains some very scientific and current elements which include the pole shift hypothesis, the Van Allen Belt, Fermat's Last Theorem, etc.

In episode two, Chris's chakras are shown on the monitor screen which are also adapted from the Hindu concept of 7 chakras inside the human body.



The Unseen In This AMV
Even for those the have seen the series, this is something that isn't obvious, unless you know what you are looking at. That object on her head, the shape of a sphere with a flowing tail is still to this day, the usual visual representation of the human spirit in Japan.The Magatama First appeared during the Jōmon period, which was from about 14,000 BCE to 400 BCE..

There is also a strong resemblance with the Magatama and the Gentoo Linux icon.

Gentoo Linux is a computer operating system built on top of the Linux kernel and based on the Portage package management system. It is distributed as free and open source software. Whats in a name? 
Arjuna is a medicinal plant of the genus Terminalia, widely used by Ayurvedic physicians for its curative properties in organic/functional heart problems including angina, hypertension and deposits in arteries. According to Ayurvedic texts it also very useful in the treatment of any sort of pain due a fall, ecchymosis (bruises), spermatorrhoea and sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhoea. Arjuna bark (Terminallia arjuna) is thought to be beneficial for the heart. This has also been proved in a research by Dr. K. N. Udupa in Banaras Hindu University's Institute of Medical Sciences , Varanasi (India). In this research, they found that powdered extract of the above drug provided very good results to the people suffering from Coronary heart diseases
